Build your own version of Slotly
Share a booking link and let guests pick a time that works. Slotly includes event types with custom durations, weekly availability with date overrides and buffers, timezone-aware booking pages, and confirmation pages with calendar downloads, cancellation, and rescheduling. Owners review upcoming, past, and cancelled bookings in list or calendar views. Built with Layerwise, React, and TanStack Start.
Use Slotly to build a booking page for calls, consultations, or office hours. Guests choose a time from your availability, so you skip the back-and-forth of finding a meeting time.
What the template includes
- Event types with a duration, description, color, and public booking link.
- Weekly availability with a timezone, date overrides, and buffers between meetings.
- Booking confirmations with a calendar download, cancellation, rescheduling, and an owner booking list.
The template opens as a local project you can change through the conversation or the code editor. You can inspect the source for this template version before choosing how to extend it.
Copy it and make one useful change
- Install Layerwise and sign in. Choose Use this template, select a team and project name in the app, then choose Copy to Layerwise. Wait for setup and the local preview to finish.
- Define your event types first: their length, who they are for, and what you need to know from guests. Change the booking questions and branding before adjusting the availability rules.
- Ask for the change in the project conversation. This prompt is a starting point; adjust it to describe your intended result.
Starter prompt Adapt this scheduling app for a tutoring business. Create a 30-minute Trial lesson and a 60-minute Weekly lesson, and ask guests for the student’s grade and subject when they book. Show the answers in the owner’s booking list. Keep availability, timezone handling, and rescheduling working.
Check the result before publishing
- Set your availability, open a booking link, book a time, and confirm it appears in your bookings.
- Try to book the same time again; the slot should no longer be available.
- Change the guest timezone and confirm the offered times still match your availability.
Slotly does not send booking emails or sync with external calendars; guests get a confirmation page and a calendar file. Decide whether you need email confirmations or calendar sync before publishing.
Use the local preview controls to test the affected path. When it works, publish a release and repeat the check at the live URL. For saved records or accounts, read about the separate Local and Online databases.
