This policy covers the Layerwise website and app. For visits to websites published by our customers, see Layerwise Analytics Privacy for our built-in visitor analytics. Each website operator is responsible for its own privacy notice covering its website and any other services it uses.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, and account and session information. We support authentication through Google and GitHub OAuth providers, which may provide us with profile information from those services according to your authorization.
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect information about your interactions with our service, including the projects you create, AI prompts you submit, preview deployments you generate, and system usage patterns.
2.3 Technical Data
We collect technical information such as IP addresses, browser types, device information, operating systems, and access times to maintain and improve our services.
2.4 Platform Analytics and Diagnostics
We use PostHog for platform usage analytics and Sentry for error diagnostics where these services are enabled. Platform analytics can associate usage events with your account identifier and email address when you are signed in. These tools are separate from the built-in visitor analytics on customer-published websites.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our AI web application generation services
- Process your AI prompts and generate web applications
- Manage your account and authentication
- Send you technical notices, updates, and security alerts
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, and authentication services
- Infrastructure and Diagnostics: These providers include Cloudflare for hosting and data processing, and PostHog and Sentry for platform analytics and diagnostics where enabled.
- Website Icons: When you view referring websites in the Analytics dashboard, your device may request their icons from Google. Google receives the requested domain and your connection information, including your IP address. This request is made by the dashboard viewer’s device, not by visitors to the published website as part of our Analytics tracker.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety
- Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition
5. OAuth Authentication
We offer authentication through Google and GitHub OAuth providers. When you choose to authenticate using these services, we receive basic profile information (such as name, email, and profile picture) as authorized by you. We use this information for authentication, account management, and connected features you authorize. We do not receive or store your Google or GitHub password. We may store OAuth authorization tokens and session information to support sign-in and authorized integrations.
6. Security Measures and Account Termination
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. However, we maintain a strict policy regarding system security:
We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts that engage in unauthorized activities, including but not limited to:
- Attempting to reverse engineer our AI prompt systems
- Unauthorized access to preview or deployment systems
- Any attempt to compromise the security or integrity of our platform
- Violating our Terms of Service or acceptable use policies
Such violations may result in permanent account termination without prior notice and may be reported to relevant authorities.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or operational purposes.

The built-in Analytics tracker on customer-published websites does not set tracking cookies or store persistent visitor identifiers on visitors’ devices. This does not mean the Layerwise platform, or a customer’s entire website, is cookie-free. Read how website Analytics works.
10. International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure and other service providers, including Cloudflare, may process your information in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this privacy policy.
