Build your own version of Formpop
Build forms that feel like a conversation. Formpop includes six starter templates, seven field types, drag-and-drop question ordering, conditional questions, custom colors, and welcome and thank-you screens. Publish a form to a public link, then review responses and export them as CSV. Built with Layerwise, React, and TanStack Start.
Use Formpop to build forms that ask one question at a time, such as surveys, sign-ups, or customer feedback. Respondents answer through a public link while you build forms and review answers in your own workspace.
What the template includes
- A form editor with seven field types, drag-and-drop ordering, and conditional questions.
- Custom colors, welcome and thank-you screens, and six starter templates.
- Published public links, a response list, and CSV export.
The template opens as a local project you can change through the conversation or the code editor. You can inspect the source for this template version before choosing how to extend it.
Copy it and make one useful change
- Install Layerwise and sign in. Choose Use this template, select a team and project name in the app, then choose Copy to Layerwise. Wait for setup and the local preview to finish.
- Pick the form you need and start from the closest starter template. Change the questions and branding before adding features, and publish again whenever respondents should see your edits.
- Ask for the change in the project conversation. This prompt is a starting point; adjust it to describe your intended result.
Starter prompt Add a rating field type to this form builder that asks respondents to choose from 1 to 5 stars. Make it available in the editor, include it in the response details and CSV export, and keep conditional questions and keyboard navigation working.
Check the result before publishing
- Create a form, publish it, and submit a response from the public link while signed out.
- Edit and save the form without publishing, and confirm the public link still shows the published version.
- Export responses as CSV and confirm the columns match the form’s questions.
File uploads, payments, and external integrations are not included. Decide where responses should go after they are collected before publishing a form that people rely on.
Use the local preview controls to test the affected path. When it works, publish a release and repeat the check at the live URL. For saved records or accounts, read about the separate Local and Online databases.
